Hope all of you had a wonderful Christmas! We had a great time visiting my parents in Indiana. Amy, Steve, Jason and Puck were able to drive up the week before Christmas to spend time with my parents, and Bryan and I drove up Christmas Eve after work. Amy and Steve had to leave Christmas day, but we were able to have breakfast and open presents with them before they left. The whole trip was very nice and relaxing!
For New Year's, Bryan and I very happily stayed at home doing absolutely nothing! (Well, we did manage to clean the house and do some much needed laundry. Other than that, we watched movies and played the Wii.) As much as we enjoyed visiting both our families for Thanksgiving and Christmas, it was nice to have a four-day weekend where we didn't have to get on a plane or be in a car for more than 20 minutes!
Unfortunately, we received some bad news this week. Bryan's work has been slow for a few months now and on Wednesday, Bryan was told that he's been laid-off. It's scary, especially with the economy how it is, but we're both optimistic that something great will come from this and Bryan's using this as an opportunity to find something even better.
We appreciate all of your love and support and hope all of you have a wonderful and prosperous 2009!
